Born in Warsaw, Olga Sienko started her artistic career at The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating with an M.A. in Fine Art in 1980. She subsequently studied at the Slade School of Fine Art as a British Council scholar and continued her studies at the Central School of Art and Design, where she was awarded a diploma in advanced printmaking. Sienko completed her printmaking education at the Royal College of Art, where she was awarded an M.A in 1990. During her student years, Sienko won prizes at art competitions and festivals. In 1993, Sienko established Studio Sienko Gallery (57A Lant St, London SE1) where she has curated over seventy exhibitions till now. During this time she has also written and photographed for the Arteon, a Polish art magazine and organised a number of artists’ workshops in Poland, Italy and France. Sienko has shown her work at more than fifty solo and group exhibitions all over the world and it has been purchased by private and public collections in many countries, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and the National Library in Warsaw
